Kristin Fischer will join CNN as the Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She is a reporter covering everything including NASA as well as the Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents were both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also employed as a White House reporter for FOX News, covering both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump and the 2020 presidential election as well as efforts of two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with President and Vice President and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to joining the network. She won one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in producing documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
